Travel-East Sudan Colors
I am so excited to share with you my photography album about my visit to east Sudan, where I visually tell the story of my feelings there. It was an unforgettable journey that took me to three amazing places: Port Sudan, Arkawit and Senganib.
Port Sudan is the main port of Sudan along the Red Sea shore. The city is clean and quiet and the people there have almost the same features and the lovely smile. I captured some beautiful shots of the sea, the buildings and the locals.
Arkawit was really an amazing place! I was surprised by the beauty of the hilly landscape, the greenery and the history. The area contains the grave of Osman Digna, a Sudanese national hero, at the top of one of the mountains. It also has the Numairy Palace, a former presidential residence that is now a museum. I was happy to visit the place but also sad because I think most of the people in my age don't know about it and never visit it. I wish there was more awareness and promotion of this cultural heritage site.
The third and the last station was an amazing boat trip to Senganib, a coral island in the Red Sea where you can see and touch the corals in around one meter depth. The place is full of different colored types of fishes that you can easily see from the surface. The place is one of the most attractive areas for divers worldwide. The place is magical and contains Sanganeb Lighthouse that guides the ships away from the corals. I took some stunning photos of the underwater world and the lighthouse.
I hope you enjoy my photography album as much as I enjoyed making it. It was a wonderful experience that opened my eyes to the beauty and diversity of east Sudan.
